Do they really play music?

Yes, they play lovely tunes, from simple childhood melodies to very complex musical scores. Make sure to listen to the sound samples available for most pieces. These are located on the most detailed level of each product description.

Each note has a hand punched letter indicating the musical scale. This, in combination with our provided songbook, makes it very easy to play, even for someone who claims to be musically challenged.

Because of the nature of our designs, these instruments are not intended for symphonic quality sound. The keys are tough, and play a great tune, but the notes pitch are apt to drift slightly. Some of the keys ring out more than others, as there is some variation in wood density from key to key.
